Veteran Interview Via Skype

Along with Old Town High School, the Cole Land Transportation Museum's Veteran Interview Program conducted a new way to educate students. An hour-long Veteran Interview was conducted through Skype - a leading video conferencing program. Although the Museum is currently closed for the season, combining technology and history made it possible to educate students from those Veterans that lived through it....

Special Thanks to Kappa Delta Phi

We would like to send out a special thank you to the Brothers of Kappa Delta Phi Lambda Chapter at Husson University for their assistance in 2010. They were responsible for setting up the Museum's yearly events such as the Memorial Day Commemoration Service, the 65th Anniversary of the End of WWII, Donn Fendler Day and the Bangor Band Concert on Veterans Day.

Peace From Broken Pieces

The Art Club at Oxford Hills Middle School recently completed its' project called "Peace From Broken Pieces". The project was fully funded by DonorsChoose.org.

The Art Club brainstormed ideas and designed with different versions of the peace sign. They also thought it would be nice to create an American Flag window to present to their local Veteran's Home....
