We're Teaming Up with the Challenger Learning Center of Maine!
The Challenger Learning Center of Maine and the Cole Land Transportation Museum have entered into a collaboration to promote the use of both facilities that will benefit students and their schools struggling with budget issues. The Cole Land Transportation Museum can provide transportation cost assistance to Middle and High School students that participate in both the Veteran Interview Program as well as a Guided Tour (roughly 2.5 hours).
The assistance is $1.50 per mile plus $50 for each full busload of students (based on at least 50 students). In the instance that schools cannot fill a bus, partial busloads may qualify for partial assistance. Reimbursement is not available if funding has been provided for Patriotic Grant, Project Graduation, or Reading Recovery.
