Do you enjoy meeting people from around the world? Do you enjoy being involved with one of the finest groups of people you will ever know? Are you interested in helping to raise the aspirations of children? All this and more can be had as a volunteer with the Cole Land Transportation Museum. All opportunities are available 7 days a week, May 1st to November 11th. Volunteers can become eligible for trips, banquets, pot luck dinners, and have free admission to the museum.

Office Help
Date Posted: 07/26/2010We occasionally have opportunities for envelope stuffing, file sorting, and other associated office duties. If you could spare a few hours, we would appreciate your help.
Floor Person
Date Posted: 07/26/2010This volunteer walks the floor of the museum, talking with guests and entertaining questions about the museum. A typical day is broken into two shifts that are 4 hours, 9AM to 1PM and 1PM to 5PM.
Special Event Assistance
Date Posted: 07/26/2010On Memorial Day and Veteran's Day we have special events at the Museum. We welcome additional staff for small jobs associated with these events such as people greeters, help with seating, and other tasks.
Tour Guide
Date Posted: 07/26/2010This volunteer guides groups around the museum for a detailed tour lasting approximately 1 hour. Tours are scheduled ahead of time and generally consist from 10 to 25 people. The greatest demand for tour guides is in the spring and the fall of the year.
Cashier
Date Posted: 07/26/2010This volunteer welcomes guests to the museum and operates the cash register and gift shop. Office assistance is always available and it is a great opportunity to meet new people. A typical day is broken into two shifts that are 4 hours, 9AM to 1PM and 1PM to 5PM.
